I've just tried unsuccessfully to get the latest maps for my Nav 6. Does anyone know if Tomtom have stopped provided updates, please?
Thanks

I've just purchased Navmii to run on Nokia 5800 (Symbian OS). It is also available for Windows Mobile and iPhone. Cost me £30 and get free softwere, map and speed camera updates for a year. New versions are released every few months and they are adding more and more features in every release.

Sam,
That looks interesting - I've got McGuider on my N96 but I've got a few issues with it so I'll be interested to hear how you get on with Navmii.
I'd be interested to hear, when you've used it a bit, how well the voice guidance matches the maps and how well it handles roundabouts and junctions (that's where my McGuider is a bit iffy). I won't be changing yet, though, because I've got European maps...

I've done 700 miles using Navmii in the last three days. Overall it's pretty good. Voice guidance matches the maps well, roundabouts are very clear and the voice tells you which exit to take well before entering the roundabout so you know what lane to be in. On major roads it lets you know a mile and a half before you are due to exit on a sliproad and then reminds you several times as well.
One of the things I like over my TomTom is that is that the voice speaks the road names as well, i.e. Turn left onto the A581. However, it is still a newish bit of software amd there are some nigles with it. The biggest problem for me is that currently if I connect my phone to Ford Audio bluetooth handsree then voice instructions don't work. I am told there is a fix for this in the next release due at the end of the month.
