Better half is looking at buying a Sat Nav for the motorbike. We have the old Road Angel Navigator for the car which has been faultless for years. He has 'modified' it to fix to the bike and even wired it for the Scarla Headsets, but now.... wants a proper waterproof system.
Any bikers out there had experience of the Tom Tom Rider v2 or the Garmin 550/660? We have read all the manufacturers bumph but would like to hear from actual users.
Many thanks.

Have a gander at this thread.
UK GSer Forum thread
There is a whole library of stuff on bike sat nav on there HERE if the thread above doesn't specifically help enough.
Happy reading ;)

I have Tomtom's original Rider (version 1) for mine. Yamaha produced an official mount for another brand of GPS but the Tomtom fitted it perfectly. The Riders also come with a bluetooth ear phone set up so you can have it talking to you inside your helmet if you wish. Retrospectively I'd definitely buy the Rider again.
