Hi Pete Years ago Gt Yarmouth was like Blackpool top of the range, The town need alot of money spent on it, sorry but not my cup of tea, indoor market/ run down shop, The fun fair use to be the biggest I seen in the 1970 now it cut by half or less, Don't mean to be rude but you be better off keeping away from Gt Yarmouth, I know my sister inlaw went to the above site for a hoilday, they got a ladies hairdresser she had a hair colour their and came out with green hair colour gone wrong, but that a nother story, Sorry to be blunt, good luck Trevor

Hello,
I have never been on the site but drive past frequently and have always thought how clean and tidy it looks, Gt Yarmouth has had a great deal of money spent on it in the last few years and is now on a par with the best, an interesting new project is the outer harbour which is now nearing completion, there is lots to do and see in the area so come and enjoy yourself and have a great holiday,
Rod.

We were there a couple of years ago, it's not as bad as some make out. The restaurant isn't particularly good.
My son stayed on after we left and had an expensive pair of trainers half inched but the local BIB's caught the perps, a gang of local chavs, which you are bound to find anywhere you go in this "sceptred isle".

My advice is to just get there and try it for yourself.
If you like Haven type sites then you'll like this, at least it has a marginally better class of punter.

There's a bus leaves from just outside that takes you into Gt. Yarmouth.

Pete,
if you're going with young kids they'll love the swimming pool. Not been to the site in a couple of years. The site has declined, but you should be ok. it's what you make it. If you get chance go to Gorleston beach it's a lovely family beach with it's own life guards. it's got a few traditional seaside shops. There's plenty of places to go, Fritten Lake, Thrigby Hall, thrigby. If you want a trip on the broads Potter Heigham's the place to ire a little boat.As I said a Holiday is what you make it.
